Tyler Finlayson

Professional Genealogist

As a Midwest native with a deep love for genealogy and family history, I bring a personal and passionate approach to my professional research. My grandmother was my first teacher, patiently guiding me through countless hours of piecing together family trees and unraveling the mysteries of our ancestors. These early experiences instilled in me a lifelong love for this field and a deep appreciation for the importance of preserving family history.

Now with over 15 years of dedicated experience and more than 2000 hours invested in genealogical research, I have honed my expertise across a diverse array of records. Mastery extends to deciphering: intricate land deeds; vital birth, marriage and death records; military records; census records; city directories; tax lists; probate records; church archives; court records; and naturalization documents and immigration records. My commitment to excellence is fortified by years of training under the National Genealogical Society, ensuring that every aspect of your family's narrative is meticulously researched and expertly brought to light. Join me on this illuminating journey, where each record becomes a portal to the past, revealing the vibrant tapestry of your unique heritage. Your family's history awaits exploration, and I am here to guide you through every layer of discovery.
